During my morning walk today, I encountered numerous squirrels darting about, but unfortunately, I couldn't capture a photo in time. Later, while talking with my mom, I mentioned how adorable they are. She remarked, "Have you ever considered how fantastic a life squirrels must lead It seems like everyone adores them."

The deer here are kind of judgmental and it is always their hiking path, and they always have right of way.

I mean, I dont argue with them.

I will argue with those mosquitoes though. They need to buzz off.

A few minutes sitting by the shore in the Royal Victoria Country Park on Tuesday afternoon, then round the park to the caf.

Walking into the wind along Hamble Shore on Tuesday afternoon. A really narrow section of beach up ahead and an overhanging tree to negotiate. (Yes, I could have taken the path instead).

These fungi on Hamble Common seem to be in a tree climbing competition.

The path or the river path or just the river at Hamble Common on Tuesday afternoon.

A sharp shower just as I arrived at Hamble Quay on Tuesday. Then, sunshine and an increasingly blue sky.

Silky poppy petal fallen on the lawn.

The roses in the park grow more beautiful every day.

Saw a mother and 3 young babies on a nighttime :meowawauu:

Park walk this morning. The different colours of the fallen Moreton Bay Fig tree leaves caught my eye this morning.

Took the opportunity of tube delays to up past . And thoughtone day I might pause inside this pub, rather than just admiring its fine exterior
Probably not on a though, unless with friends I don't stop long enough for a pint when I walk alone.

Linear regression now predicts an increase of 79 daily steps per week.

The weekly chart is so noisy that the trend is somewhat hard to see.

The monthly and quarterly charts make it more obvious.

October's here, and that means it's ! I walk a lot anyway, but in October I do an 'intentional' that's not part of my commute each day.
Looks like this letterbox was set up by someone who also likes encouraging

On my daily walk yesterday, I ran across a useless sign. It says "Fin de trottoir." This means "End of sidewalk" in English.

First, I'm not sure why the sign is required there. You can plainly see the sidewalk ending.

Second, there are plenty of other places where sidewalks end in this neighborhood, and none of them have a sign like this one.

I'm baffled. Did the people on this street request the sign to make sure people wouldn't walk there

Neuer Monat, neue Herausforderungen.

This week on , I wrote about where I (almost entirely in 8) and why I walk there, and what it offers me:

"When I told some people Id just met that Ive walked about 1200 miles this year, nearly all of that in my , two questions came up. Did I go out for better walks, i.e. did I travel away to See Things, and was I doing anything with the walks"

I took a walk around Sapporo Dome in Hitsujigaoka, Toyohira Ward, Sapporo.
