Hamble Shore on Thursday afternoon. After a warm and sunny start to the month, it looks as though October is finally getting its act together. There's something wet and windy on the way.

Thursday afternoon on Hamble Common. My phone says rain in fifteen minutes. The cattle are divided, two standing and one lying down. A few minutes later, my phone shows no rain for at least sixty minutes. So the majority were right after all.

A little rain in the air at Hamble Quay on Thursday but still quite warm and pleasant sitting by the river with a coffee.

Interesting article in the Guardian about "Culdesac", the new car-free walkable community being developed outside Phoenix, Arizona.

I love the architectural focus on shared outdoor spaces and the fact that residents gets discounts on Lyft and free use of the light rail system that runs right past the neighbourhood.

(And the fact that the founder has *60* ebikes made me laugh... )

Just a short walk part of the way round the village this morning, my back and hips are not happy with me. Thought going out early, I might avoid people, alas, bumped into one of the village gossips and was greeted with "What are you doing out so early" The street sign always makes me smile. Little things amuse me. Time for another and then to decide on stitching!

Moreton Bay fig tree. One of my fave trees in the park.

No bouncy ears today. However, we do don our colored light in green!
